For ‘Aan de keukentafel’, a special magazine edition of COOP supermarkets, I illustrated 7 tips to stay fresh this summer. First time I drew my illustrations on a Cintiq drawing tablet, really happy with that!
Commissioned by Totalspiel in collaboration with Ykeswerk.
On June 14th Claudi Kessels and I gave a workshop on how to make a map. It was our first time we gave our workshop at the inspiring Atelier Oosterbosch. This meant we could start of right in the centre of Amsterdam and take a nice walk to the Bickerseiland. The lovely old Amsterdam Warehouses, the water, and the flowers in full bloom made it a really beautiful starting Point.
Taking back all our reference materials we started with making maps back at the atelier. One of our participants, Herma Starreveld, made a really nice ‘making of’ blogpost about it, including a little movie showing her map!

Going on a holiday with your little kids? No booking-stress anymore! On the site Mama goes here real parents share their personal tips for the best family holidays. I designed the logo and header for this website that is filled with the most amazing spots. My studio partner and allround brand identity developer Aura Scaringi from Mimimou did an excellent job in designing and building the site. It was fun to be working together on this project!
On the site I also share two holiday location tips from us. One where we have been two years ago (Krete), and one that was my favorite childhood camping in France.
Yes. We have been working really hard. So I guess… it’s time for a well deserved holiday!
Pink, purple and white. Those where the three colors of the romantic Bouvardia flowers that I had to design a package for. What a lovely assignment. The flowers are very sweet and candy like, so this is the feeling we needed to look for. It turned out a combination of watercolor paint for the flowers and pen for the leaves.
This Bouvardia was named Bellevardia ®, after a famous French physician in ordinary to His Majesty at the court of Louis XIII in the 17th century, Charles Bouvard. It was a beloved plant in the Jardin des Plantes, the botanical gardens in Paris, that monsieur Bouvard had founded.
Bellevardia ® package design was commissioned by Boerenjongens for Royal van Zanten, in coöperation with my agency Artbox Centre for Creation
